REPORT OF THE “FOR GIRLS & BOYS ONLY” FEB '08

The registration of the attendees commenced at 11.00a.m. While the program started at 12noon with an opening prayer.

An attendance of three hundred and seventy-three teenagers and a number of parents was impressive, even though we prepared for one thousand attendees.

We gave jotters, RWF bookmark calendar; vol.5 of FGO Newsletters to the attendees and questionnaire on HIV/AIDS, which was designed to get information on HIV/AIDS awareness. The completed ones were sent to the facilitator on HIV/AIDS for proper analysis.

Questions were asked by a good number of the attendees and justified answers were given by the facilitators.

A wide publicity was given to the programme in which we had a representative from Guardian News papers in attendance to cover the event and it was published on Page31of Sunday 24th February 2008 Guardian.

There was a session set aside for counselling in which our counsellors had opportunity of counselling some of the attendees that needed counseling. Eighty-seven people accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour in the course of the program. This indeed is a success story.

There was provision made for sausages and Nestle bottled water as refreshment in which everybody in attendance was served and felt happy at having a nice time in the seminar.

The programme was sponsored by The Real Woman Foundation.

The seminar was a great success, as all that was planned for was achieved.
