The Real woman Foundation operates a rehabilitation centre called the Peace Villa, Located at No. 7b, Jubilee Road Magodo Shangisha, Lagos. It is a 24 hour highly structured residential program focused on emotional healing, reforms, self-esteem and self-sufficiency building.
It is a place of solace that provides the physical and psychological re-habilitation necessary for women to interupt the cycle of dependence, incarceration due to prostitution and other forms of abuse. It has gradually become a turning point for various hurting women, including former ex-sex workers, children and destitutes. The Peace Villa is run by compassionate, highly dedicated and skilled staff who identify the specific needs of each individual and help in meeting those needs. These ranges from providing opportunities for vocational training, finding schools to finding jobs. Resident s have been trained in such areas as bead making, catering, event decorations and coaching lessons. We have rehabilitated 75 ladies and taken care of 46 babies till date.
