ARISE AND SHINE (2)

FOR YOUR LIGHT HAS COME!
........For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time like this?.........(Est.4:14)

These were the words of Mordecai to Esther a young Jewish girl, who by divine arrangement had become the Queen of Persia. At that time, a certain man who was a key figure in the Persian administration called Haman hated the Jews with a passion, and had plotted their masacre.
The news had leaked out, with Modecai- Esther’s  Uncle getting to hear about it. He had  then sent a message to her, asking her to use her influence to talk to the King about this. However, Esther had replied by saying that no one in the Kingdom could go in to see the King without being invited. Whoever violated this, could loose his or her life.

The passage above, was part of Modecai’s response to her, challenging her
to rise up and make a change in her circle of influence. He was not asking her to do what was beyond her capabilities. All he was asking her to do, was to make a change where she had influence as the Queen of the land.
. Thank God she rose up to the challenge. She went into a time of prayer and fasting, and received God’s direction about how to handle the situation. To the glory of God, by the time she had invited the King and the evil man Haman, to a banquet on two different occasions, the death sentence that was hanging over the heads of the Jews had been countered with another decree issued in the King’s name. Halleluyah!
Not only that, the evil man Haman not only lost his life but all other members of his family perished too!

My question is, what would have happened to them had Esther not taken up the challenge?Perhaps the holocaust created by the Nazis over fifty years ago would have been a small thing compared to what could have happened to them. Could it have been possible that a woman (rising up in the spirit and anointing of Esther) somewhere in Germany
could have stopped the killing of about six million Jews by the nazis at that time? Only the Lord knows!

Dear friend the truth of the matter is that whatever the
Problems, difficulties or challenges you have noticed around you,be it in your family, husband’s family, town, place of work, nation and so on. Could it be that the Lord ......has brought you and placed you there for such a time like this?........ Why not rise up to be a problem solver to the problems you see around you? Esther had nothing, just her relationship with the King of kings and the King of the land.

By the time you take stock of things you could use around you to solve the problems you have noticed, you would be more than amazed. Begin by taking that problem to the Lord in the place of prayers and asking Him to give you directions as to how to use what you have around you- opportunities, relationships, resources to be a change agent.

Remember, dear friend this is the time to arise and make a difference in your family, city, nation and the whole world at large! You can be an Esther of your generation!

God bless you
