| REPORT OF INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY CELEBRATION |
REPORT OF INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY CELEBRATION ORGANIZED BY THE FGO DEPARTMENT OF THE REAL WOMAN FOUNDATION ON THE 12TH OF AUGUST 2008
‘FOR GIRLS ONLY’ a subsidiary of THE REAL WOMAN FOUNDATION organized the celebration of the United Nations International Youth Day at the rehabilitation centre (PV) of the organization.
The programme was aimed at Educating participants on the need for a vision for their lives and the need to have a global mindset towards the vision.
The programme started at 3.30pm with opening prayer by Mrs Adefioye Adebola.she also did the welcoming and talked briefly on the history of International Youth Day.
FACILITATORS The main speaker of the day was Mr Oguntoyinbo Stephen, president of Talkvillage International. He spoke extensively on Becoming a Champion. He also emphasized the need for everyone to have a written vision for their lives. He asked the participants to imagine there future with eyes closed.he also played a song titled Stand up for the Champion to round up his session.
Mr Sola Oshideinde, President of Hope and Help for the underprivileged was also invited. He briefly said he did not have the opportunity to attend any educative programme while he was a teenager. He said he got into sex and drugs at a tender age but God delivered him. He urged the participants especially the ladies to take action on all they have learnt.
Miss Folashade Aina kolawole, President of Global Children and Youth for change was also invited. She briefly spoke on the need to identify what you love to do and do it passionately. She said life is interesting when you identify your place. She finally said she is glad to be at our programme and that she will invite some celebrities to visit the Love Home Orphanage.
ATTENDANCE We had 23 people in all.
REFRESHMENT Soft drink was served for all.
